As the Trump administration takes aim at the Diversity-Industrial Complex with a flurry of executive orders, with solutions offered by individuals such as Jeremy Carl, Christopher Rufo, and Christopher Caldwell, all the while progressives and bureaucrats scream impotently into the voids of social media. It feels good to hear the lamentations of their bureaucrats and trannissaries, and to see the retributive firings and the attempts to close the spigot of federal dollars going to progressive causes, but it is a shot across the bow against an ideology, well funded and well into the public liberal consciousness, that has advocated for the destruction of America as we know it and once knew it as.

While many want to claim that “peak woke” has come and gone in the wake of the election of Donald Trump back to the White House, there are still so many anti-American, anti-White sentiments, institutions, and elected officials that declare their worldview as not only the American worldview, but (as Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries recently said) as American values.

While I suspect, dear reader, that you are rolling your eyes or are even preparing to write an angry comment deriding me for even including this video in this little Substack post, I want you to understand what you’re up against, and that while this administration is trying to attack the academia/left-wing NGO money spigot, the ideology still remains. Over the last 15 or so years, we have seen an exceptional, nearly unprecedented-in-pace decline of American civil society, the slowly-and-then-suddenly-all-at-once type of collapse of the American (Anglo and European) norms the nation had developed for centuries.

One of the books that was a hit on the Left from the first Trump administration was Robin DiAngelo’s White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, published in 2018.
