Great article. Any single, effective young men reading this should seriously consider getting involved leaning on people who can make decisions.

Also... The male to female ratio in DC is 9:10, the best in the country for single men. Lend your talents to righting the country and find a wife doing it.

Staffing on the hill is precisely the sort of thing I’d like to get into. Where are some good places to look to get started if I live in a blue state?

Start by looking at your Congressional delegation. Even blue states have red congressional districts. After that, expand you search parameters. Find a member you like or who has a policy portfolio that interests you. Apply for internships (usually can be done via their website or call the office to ask if they're looking) in the fall and summer. You'll have to start small and work your way up, but if you're young and at a point in life where you can be more mobile, it's certainly worth pursuing.

I know there's no use sperging at them about their illiteracy without having the authority and means to put them in their place, but it is in fact morally reprehensible to influence matters of state from a position of ignorance. That they are unaware of their ignorance is their only saving grace, shifting the blame to those who may have orchestrated the situation to be as it is.

I suppose it's to be expected when you hire for people who are dumb enough to fall in line with all the dumb shit republicans have been required to believe or go along with in order to participate. As John Doyle recently put it "I am allowed to acknowledge reality without being scolded by women. If there is one thing I believe in, it is that."

In any case, interesting to hear and here's hoping that with some wisdom and organization we can exert some influence in spite of this.

They may mean well, but that does not excuse what has happened. 'Meaning well' has introduced this nation to the cutting of its own throat. Article 1 needs to be dismantled, all its members sent home and all of its laws rescinded. Article 1, in and of itself, was the poison pill located within the U.S. Constitution. There is no reforming anything anymore.

My intention is simply to shine light on reality, not be a downer. Congress is the problem. Its very existence.
