Perpetual energy engines do work, specifically with ideologies; while physics cannot be made malleable by man, his mind is all too much so. Activists can be martyred while opponents can be sent to the inquisition/final solution/gulag/blacksite.
I’ve noticed how eliciting an emotional response is in fact part of the normalization process. Hate/Love produce the same (similar?) chemicals in our brain. So perhaps the way forward for young Neo is apathy.
