We are heroes of the homeland, American remains

We live in many faces and answer many names

We will not be forgotten, we won't be left behind

Our memories live on in mortal minds

And poets pens, we'll ride again

This one hit me hard as my family farm only survived the 80's farm crises by the skin of our teeth and the family still hasnt recovered to the standard of living enjoyed by my grandparents and parents as children.

We must be grateful for what we have, and re-constitute the grit of our ancestors to forge ourselves anew. Do not lose heart. Hardship is a crucible from which we define our shape. I must take my own advice. You are not alone.

Coincidentally, there are other options if you want to make a deeper investment. Have a look at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw9Zese-PaI

RTTL is one of many projects that are available and you can add to that number on your own should you have the resolve. We will endure all hardships and become iron again.

Carpe Diem

Your problem isn't the H1B's. Your problem is an economy being strangled by regulation.

This one hit hard. Growing up in the cattle business, now as a 29 year old Salesman trying to hold on with a meager hourly rate until commissions kick in. Looking toward something, anything better. Something with room to advance, to succeed, and to provide for a family. I'm reminded of the job I landed but lost due to circumstances out of my control. It would have paid twice as much the first year. There in the orientation zoom call was a "new American" with an Indian accent.

As I was waiting to leave town and relocate, just before I got the news that would end my chance to work for that company, I went on what was supposed to be a casual "just meeting people" coffee date with a girl in town. We spent the next day together, and the next, falling for each other fast and hard. She may be the love of my life and she's said as much to me. If I'd left town like I was supposed to the distance would have surely split us up in those crucial first months.

I found my new job, and even though I want better for myself it's a blessing to have something that puts food on the table.

God works in mysterious ways.

Now, whoever is willing to be instructed let him know that this is the commandment of God, and that it must not be treated as a jest. For although you despise us, defraud, steal, and rob, we will indeed manage to endure your haughtiness, suffer, and, according to the Lord's Prayer, forgive and show pity; for we know that the godly shall nevertheless have enough, and you injure yourself more than another.

But beware of this: When the poor man comes to you (of whom there are so many now) who must buy with the penny of his daily wages and live upon it, and you are harsh to him, as though every one lived by your favor, and you skin and scrape to the bone, and, besides, with pride and haughtiness turn him off to whom you ought to give for nothing, he will go away wretched and sorrowful, and since he can complain to no one he will cry and call to heaven, -- then beware (I say again) as of the devil himself. For such groaning and calling will be no jest, but will have a weight that will prove too heavy for you and all the world. For it will reach Him who takes care of the poor sorrowful hearts, and will not allow them to go unavenged. But if you despise this and become defiant, see whom you have brought upon you: if you succeed and prosper, you may before all the world call God and me a liar.

Things have to change so young people can expect jobs that afford owning a home and supporting children. It’s a bleak future where they can’t, a future that can’t sustain a society. Appropriate levels of immigration that prioritize the conditions of working Americans are a part of that but not the only thing. Common sense says we’ll need a strong economy, smaller frugal government and stable money too. The conditions of working Americans must be prioritized in all these domains. I’m supporting Trump, Vance, Ramaswamy and Musk. I think they get it.
